Brown corundum manufacturers need to attach great importance to the export market

From January to April 2023, China's cumulative export of brown corundum 136,400 tons, down 1.38% year-on-year. According to the monthly export volume, although the exports in January and April were about 41,100 tons, they all declined year-on-year, and the exports in February and March were 22,100 tons and 32,000 tons, respectively, an increase of 3.18% and 7.21% year-on-year, respectively. From the point of view of the average export price, the price of exporting to the United States is low, below 5000 yuan/ton; The average price of exports to South Korea is close to 14,000 yuan/ton. China's brown corundum exports to the United States through 9 provinces and cities, relatively concentrated. Among them, the amount of exports to the United States through Hubei Province is 10,500 tons, the amount of exports from Shanxi Province and Zhejiang province to the United States is 0.72 million tons, and the amount of brown corundum exported from Anhui province to the United States is 0.21 million tons. Brown corundum exports to Japan, but as many as 20 provinces and cities, relatively dispersed. Among them, Henan Province exported 0.59 million tons, Jiangxi Province exported 0.42 million tons, Zhejiang Province exported 0.34 million tons, Chongqing exported 0.13 million tons, Guizhou Province exported 0.13 million tons.

China's brown corundum production enterprises are distributed in Henan, Guizhou, Shanxi, Chongqing, Guangxi, among them, Henan, Guizhou enterprises and output. However, the export volume is highest in Zhejiang Province.

From January to April 2023, 24 provinces and cities in China exported brown corundum. The export of brown corundum through Zhejiang Province was 31,800 tons, a decrease of 3.24%. Henan Province, as the main producing area of brown corundum, exported 27,100 tons of brown corundum, a decrease of 17.56%; The export of brown corundum from Hubei Province was 17,700 tons, an increase of 8.35%; Jiangxi Province exported 15,000 tons of brown corundum, down 24.16% year-on-year. Shanxi Province is also one of the brown corundum producing areas, the total export of brown corundum 0.83 million tons, an increase of 1598.11%; Chongqing exported 0.42 million tons of brown corundum, a decrease of 56.65%; In Guizhou Province, another major producing area of brown corundum, the export volume of brown corundum was only 0.17 million tons, down 23.46% year-on-year.

Henan Province exported brown corundum to 43 countries and regions, but the export volume was higher in Japan, India, South Korea, etc., the export volume was 0.59 million tons, 0.41 million tons, 0.3 million tons; Chongqing brown corundum exports to 9 countries and regions, of which 0.16 million to the Netherlands and 0.13 million to Japan; Shanxi brown corundum exports to 7 countries and regions, mainly exported to the United States, the export volume of 0.72 million tons.

Through Zhejiang Province, brown corundum is exported to 45 countries and regions, but the main export destinations are the United States, Japan, South Korea, and the Netherlands, with exports of 0.72 million tons, 0.34 million tons, 0.30 million tons, and 0.29 million tons respectively.

According to the export data of brown corundum by provinces and cities, it is not the export volume of brown corundum main producing areas, and the direct export business of manufacturers exporting brown corundum needs to be expanded.

In 2022, the Abrasive Abrasives Association incomplete statistics of brown corundum production of about 760,000 tons, exports of 478,700 tons, exports accounted for 62.99%. If the monthly production of brown corundum is 60,000 tons this year, the export volume also exceeds 50% of the output. Therefore, the export of brown corundum also needs to attract the attention of enterprises.
